As you know, all of my work is about nervous system regulation, right?
Well, YES and NO. 💁♀️
Let’s start with the fact that I don’t like the word “regulation” at all. 🤨
To me it has this top-down, even oppressive quality.
Like “You better be regulated” and “You feel dysregulated? Your must quickly come back into regulation”…
Especially when you are a practitioner or you’ve studied this a lot… — “You know all this stuff, and yet you are so dysregulated… How come”?
Have you ever felt the pressure to “be regulated”?… I definitely have!
So I found a new word. The one that works for me. The one that holds widening, permission, a whole-body exhale for me. And the word is RESONANCE.
So what’s resonance?
Very simply put, your resonant frequency is the physical and energetic ability of your body tissue to transfer energy.
When your Body sings in harmonic resonance together with the energy of Nature, other beings, human and non-human.
And this is the exact reason why I LOVE working with movement and why I think that physical movement is crucial. Movement gives you this immediate bio-feedback (I’ll teach you exactly how to start attuning to it).
We want to build more range and more ease of movement and expression within that range.
